In the end you still pay for 5 stars and end up with barely 3 star results. If they didn't outsource the work to non-English speaking (zero) guys from El Salvador in their 20's and leave them without supervision in your house for a couple of days, perhaps it would be better. The 7 page quote / contract with numerous detailed charges (drywall tape joint repair, seal, prime, paint (2 coats), recessed lights, light fixtures, curtain removals/reattach, content manipulation charges, minimum labor charges, haul debris, cleaning, etc.) all have hefty itemized charges associated with them. That's in addition to the already inflated charges of the regular itemized paint work. Some of what is quoted is done, some things done poorly, and some not done at all. For example, drapery detach and rehang was quoted at ~$133 (2 rods, in U-shaped cradles that stayed on the wall and was painted around. It's about 10 minutes work and I easily lifted them down personally in ~3 minutes) and recessed lights detach/reset at ~$65 (they pull straight down, which they never did at all. They painted around them.). In the end, the workers mud your walls in affected areas, sand some off and add a layer of paint. When asked what happened to seal, prime and 2 coats of paint (as quoted), they came back the next day and added more mud (???) to the same areas and another layer of paint (still no seal, prime, etc.). So, back to square one!! Some areas had so much mud build-up that a kitchen drawer no longer was operational. Then they finally sent an internal 2 person English speaking crew (in their 20's) to spend another day repairing the drywall of the original highly visible and structurally important wall (pointed out from day one, and every day, to any and all). This internal staff did better than the original crew on that one wall. Had they been sent the first time and for all the work, perhaps the originally quoted 2 days (July 10 and 11) wouldn't have turned in to 4 or 5 days (add re-work to all surfaces July 13, "cleaning" July 16, and re-work of one wall July 19). That's 4-5 days of my time too, and I keep finding highly visible areas that now needs re-sanding and painting due to sloppy painters. Lastly, their outsourced cleaning people quoted at $188 should have cleaned up after the painters (initial 3 days of painters crossing our lawn and the front door entrance a few hundred times, and then spread it across all painting areas). That's about $100/hour and we had to personally clean and then pay others to clean after them. You'd think cleaning would at least include vacuuming! We liked the project manager, although I don't think he gets to pick his crew(s). He also obviously had other more important projects elsewhere in parallel requiring his attention. Also, we liked the 2 internal CRS crew guys from the last day. They were more attentive. In the end, we paid ~$3,500+ for something that is readily priced at about half of that amount (we have had painters do the same areas before). It's a 3 in quality. Overall process a 2 star rating. For the money, it's a big disappointment (1 star).UPDATE: I saw the final invoice, they took $83 (from $133) off for the drapery hanging charge. I guess that brings the hourly rate for that specific itemized operation alone from ~$500/h to ~$200/h.

Feedback:

Absolutely the best. The guys are respectful, professional and they keep you thoroughly informed at all times. Keith, Lee, Mark, Tim, Charlie, they are %100 professionals and I would never go with anyone else.

Feedback:

My water heater flooded my entire downstairs. I was urged to call CRS per my insurance company. Everything started off great. The guys who did the mitigation were terrific. Due to it being winter, the actual repairs did not start for a few weeks. I was understanding of this as I know pipes burst, etc. due to freezing weather. The repair process service was far from great. For some reason, they painted my walls prior to installing the new floor. Once the floor was installed, there were dirty hand prints & marks all over the freshly painted walls. They had to send the painters back out to clean the walls and repaint. Furthermore, the flooring guys also put a hole in my kitchen wall which they did not tell me about. I found it and had to call CRS to get that fixed. Finally, it has been a few months and now the new vinyl in my kitchen & bathroom is starting to bubble. Last week they came out TWICE to fix it & behold...it has bubbled yet again!! Understandably, they are using a third party to install the vinyl. However, after several unhappy emails due to bubbling floors...I would assume they would send a different company out to get the job done.

I called Carolina Restoration when my daughter's townhouse flooded at the urging of our insurance company. They were fantastic from start until finish. The house looks better than before. They took care of everything. Definitely would refer them to others. Great job.

Feedback:

I would not recommend using CRS. We had water damage in one of our rental units from the tenants upstairs. We also had water damage in the ceiling at our home. We had two different estimators come out to the different locations. The estimator for our condo gave us an estimate and we went ahead with the work. After they tore a hole in our ceiling and I called to find out when it would get patched, I was told they needed to send someone else out to give me another estimate to patch the hole. I assumed the original estimate was for the entire job (not half the job). I even questioned the person multiple times about the work. When I called the estimator he said CRS never gives an estimate for the entire job. Well, they did give me an estimate for the entire job for my house. When I questioned them about this, he said this isn't normal. When I asked to speak to his supervisor, he referred me to the person that gave me the estimate for my house. I feel like I got the runaround and never got a straight answer.I ended up getting someone else to patch the hole in my ceiling and he told met he could have done the entire job for less than what CRS charged for half the job. CRS did credit me $50 in the end (which is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1). I feel that the communication was very poor at best and worst case was dishonest.

Feedback:

Best restoration company in the state for sure!!

Feedback:

I contracted with them to fix my basement that had been exposed to sewage in a pipe backup. They were responsible for painting the basement, putting in new flooring, and making sure everything was back to the condition it had been in after their work was done. Not a single one of the contractors was able to do their job correctly. The painters had to come back to fix a few spots and didn't even get finish it the second time around. I specifically showed the CRS foreman the problem areas and it seems like he must not have passed on all of that information to the painters. He even admitted to having chipped the wall in one place himself and never got it touched up. The flooring people were worse. There was an area of the concrete foundation that was not level as the result of an earlier part of this project. The flooring people made not attempt to level it, so the flooring was like a seesaw for the entire 20 foot width of the room. Another set of contractors were hired to fix it, which they weren't able to do to the full extent because other things being in the way that the CRS foreman said would not be in the way. All in all, they didn't accurately get the job done even when they were brought back in to fix the problems they should have anticipated the first time. It seemed that every contractor was there to do the least work possible, with the exception of the last one whose ability to complete his job was limited. The only reason they don't get a one star is because the foreman was generally friendly and was moderately responsive to communication.10/5/19 Edit:Since my last review I was reached out to by one of the managers and he was at my house the next day to talk about my concerns. He agreed with me on my assessment of the situation and wanted to fix the problems at no extra cost. I was assigned a new foreman and the work was completed quickly and competently. I upgraded the review to 4 stars.

Feedback:

After a water pipe broke and flooded my house I needed new floors and drywall repair Carolina Restorations did an outstanding job and even finished ahead of schedule. My new floors are beautiful and the installers did a great job. The painters fixed the drywall and painted my entire kitchen with not a drop of misplaced paint. They moved all my furniture out and back in without incident and even put my complicated media center back together. I would highly recommend them for any of these services.

Feedback:

Feedback:

We had damage from an air conditioning leak. We were so pleased with the Sheetrock repair and painting done by Charlie and Hugo. They were very professional and left everything extremely neat. We enjoyed dealing with Andrew at Carolina Restoration and would definitely recommend them! Sam who cleaned the carpets did a great job too.
