I had a terrific experience at NOLA Hearing, and would highly recommend it. Dr. Melissa Duthu is not one to push patients into buying the highest priced items. Her concern is clearly what's best for you. She's also a very good educator, and terrifically patient. It's a process learning how to deal with your hearing aids - it took me four or five visits. I very much enjoyed working with Melissa during this period of time.

I brought my mom to Melissa for hearing aids four years ago. She was so patient, compassionate and kind to my mom. She explained everything slowly and clearly so mom could understand. Unfortunately, mom was just not cognizant enough to handle the daily ins and outs of hearing aids, so we didn't purchase any. After a recent visit to the ENT confirmed my hearing loss, I knew where I needed to go for hearing aids. I did endless research online and had many questions and ideas. Melissa answered all questions knowledgeably and incorporated my ideas into her recommendations. The end result was hearing aids that are perfect for me! I love them and wear them every day. No more saying “what?”, no more pretending I heard what someone said, no more feeling left out of conversations.I had only one complaint about making phone calls when I was in my car in that the caller could barely hear me. I googled solutions and watched YouTube videos. Everyone said the problem was inescapable with that brand of hearing aid – even Dr. Cliff! Melissa found the solution, tweaked some settings and now everything is wonderful!If you need hearing aids, she’s the one to see.

Dr. Melissa is the best audiologist. I have gotten several pairs of hearing aids from her. She spends time explaining each step and making you feel comfortable through the whole process. If you are in need of hearing aids, a hearing test or hearing protection, she is the audiologist to see.

Dr Melissa is outstanding! By far the best Audiologist in the New Orleans area I have been seen by as a patient. I've had several different hearing aid providers within the GNO area and she's my favorite for professional, reliable, and quick service. My new Bluetooth hearing aids with the rechargeable option are awesome especially since I can connect to my iPhone. The hearing test was quick and she explained the results to what degree of hearing loss I experience. The best of all, she wasn't pushy into what type of hearing aid I should get. She just explained all the cool features and we went from there. Definitely recommend making an appointment at their hearing clinic.
