My fiancée and I have been looking for a church in the Los Angeles area. We came across this one and it looked great! They talked about the power in healing, the Holy Spirit, and we were really excited to see that because that’s what we have been looking for in a church. But then we went to their website and noticed they have two videos: One is a testimonial video from a kid who was healed (awesome), and the other one was labeled “Ten Reasons Why You Should Not Celebrate Halloween”. My fiancée and I watched the video and was immediately turned off because it was incredibly legalistic, which is the opposite vibe you get from the rest of the church. It had a very Catholic, judgemental, old school baptist feeling to the video. Just very confusing and the video talked about getting cursed and your family being cursed for three to four generations because you celebrate Halloween. We are both life long Jesus lovers who believe in loving on people and in the Love of Christ. We are both non denomination and believe in what the Bible says. But we were definitely not feeling the Lord on this church based from their website, and our hopes were quickly let down.
